Developed to be the workhorse for events, portraiture and other medium-length subjects, the Panasonic Lumix S PRO 70-200mm f / 2.8 OIS is an L-mount telephoto lens featuring a constant f / 2.8 maximum aperture and optical performance and sophisticated focus. The lens layout incorporates several aspherical and low dispersion elements to minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range for greater clarity, sharpness and accurate rendering. Complementing the optics is a unique dual focus system, which uses both a linear motor and a stepping motor, to deliver particularly fast and precise focusing performance. A focus clutch also allows for particularly quick switching between AF and MF settings for refined control. Plus, an Optical Image Stabilizer reduces the effects of camera shake for sharper handheld shots, and the lens sports a weatherproof design for use in harsh conditions.
The telephoto zoom is designed for L-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, however it can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 105-300mm equivalent focal length range.
The steady, bright f / 2.8 maximum aperture maintains consistent illumination across the zoom range and gives you more control over depth of field.
